This year luncheon is a fundraiser for Parent Action Coalition for Education, a nonprofit organization dedicated to servicing the underprivileged.

I am honored to accepting an award and sitting on an esteemed panel of speakers. Check out the article they published featuring my book “Up From Where We’ve Come” as well as my band that started it all with The “Watts 103rd St. Rhythm Band”

I was so honored to help the city of Long Beach help promote Voting! It is so important to use the voice you were given. Our ancestors fought and sacrificed for our generation to have an input on the society in which we live.

So you officially can not complain if you do not vote.

I’d greatly appreciate if you shared with with your friends and family.
